The petal

I am the last pedal of this flower.
I wonder if I will dry and die.
I hear the birds pulling me down.
I see myself trying to stay in place.
I want to move on.With out being pulled out.
I am the pedal.

I pretend not being hurt.
I feel pulled down.
I touch the pollen in your hearts.
I worry not to be love.
I cry myself out of this making a river.
I am the pedal.

I understand your minds.
I say what i want to say.
I dream my life as the only flower.
I try to be myself with out trying.
I hope not to ever be pulled out in become that flower.
I am the flower.

A Real Hero

Sometimes I wonder about all the good and bad people.I tell myself is there good people in this world. If there was a person in danger would you go jump in and help them or just see them suffer and asking for help.A lot of people help others with out having a second thought. When there saving somebody's life they don't have a second thought about if they help them from that danger they would die. They do it because the want to help and because they would know that if they where in that situation they would want help too.Thats why alot of people get awarded with the most valuable thing the Medal of Honor. Some my think that they dont need this award because they know that others would do the same thing if they seen someone in danger.
The medal of honor it is so important to all who received it even thought some did not get to see there award. For being so brave to think about what they where about to do put them self's in danger.Like I said some did not get to see there award because they put them self's in danger to help somebody and gotten killed not thinking about there family or the people that love them.So I think that the Medal of honor symbolize to me Bravery in that persons heart.
There is fear in that persons mind. When they are about to help someone in danger and knowing that they are going to put them self's in danger too. There is bravery in that person mind to fear that danger. If there wasn't I don't think they would do anything that would put them in danger. It takes lots of dignity and ability to get awarded for the Medal of honor because not everybody could get it.
It is easier to get it then to wear it.That's what a lot of them think because if they saved somebody's life they would do it to help that person. Not to get awarded by the Medal of honor but to help one another.Probably they would think that know that they have a Medal of honor some people would think or expect them to save another persons life every time someones in danger.
There is different people in this world. Some are bad and some are good. There is only some that did the right thing that's why they have been chosen to wear the Medal of honor. The Medal is the highest award that any person can receive. It is also more important then the president of the United States.A real hero is someone that would risk there life for someone.Even thought they would lose there life's.

Hello,Frederik E.Ferguson

My name is Angelica Claro.Im witting to you because i wanted to thank you for being brave. For saving people,I would like to know more about you and the way you feel about wearing that Medal of Honor.
The hope you had for your country made me had hope as well. You fought for your country. You also sacrifice for your country.Im so glad you did that.
I think you even made other people change there minds. In how they would react if they where in your shoes.
Sometimes I think we should do something important for the people who earned the MOH.It haves to be something fun like a parade where people could cheer and be happy and sentimental.
Million thanks for the sacrafice you did in that helicopter during that fire.Where you saved about for lifes.I bet that it feels very special to wear that medal.
sincerely,
Angelica Claro

The President of the United States
in the name of The Congress
takes pleasure in presenting the
Medal of Honor
to

FERGUSON, FREDERICK EDGAR

Rankand organization: Chief Warrant Officer, U.S. Army, Company C, 227th Aviation Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division (Airmobile). Place and date: Hue, Republic of Vietnam, 31 January 1968. Entered service at: Phoenix, Ariz. Born: 18 August 1939, Pilot Point, Tex.

Citation:
For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. CWO Ferguson, U.S. Army distinguished himself while serving with Company C. CWO Ferguson, commander of a resupply helicopter monitoring an emergency call from wounded passengers and crewmen of a downed helicopter under heavy attack within the enemy controlled city of Hue, unhesitatingly volunteered to attempt evacuation. Despite warnings from all aircraft to stay clear of the area due to heavy antiaircraft fire, CWO Ferguson began a low-level night at maximum airspeed along the Perfume River toward the tiny, isolated South Vietnamese Army compound in which the crash survivors had taken refuge. Coolly and skillfully maintaining his course in the face of intense, short range fire from enemy occupied buildings and boats, he displayed superior flying skill and tenacity of purpose by landing his aircraft in an extremely confined area in a blinding dust cloud under heavy mortar and small-arms fire. Although the helicopter was severely damaged by mortar fragments during the loading of the wounded, CWO Ferguson disregarded the damage and, taking off through the continuing hail of mortar fire, he flew his crippled aircraft on the return route through the rain of fire that he had experienced earlier and safely returned his wounded passengers to friendly control. CWO Ferguson's extraordinary determination saved the lives of 5 of his comrades. His actions are in the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit on himself and the U.S. Army.

MY GOALS

Well one of my first goals was to go to the Halloween dance. Here at Farragut.Well it was very cool but it was just to hot.I thought i was going to die out there but I came out alive lol.In order for me to go I had to pay my class fee.I also went trick or treating with Erika. We didn't had costumes or Halloween bags.So we went to the store and got the bag.I stold my nephews mask and Erika she didn't needed a mask she was already scary ha ha ha just kidding. She was a clown. There was this guy who told us "don't u guys have better bags".So Erika told him that we where poor.So yeah he made fun off us...

I also have gone to more performances for Drum Corps. Now I know all the beats for the tenners. Now I want to learn how to play the snare.I think if i just try hard on playing the snare ill make it.I just need somebody to teach me.

I also join Drill team which I was expecting something better.Or something better of my self because I not good at it I just need more practice. If I could get all the practice I need I will get better.I also got a higher rank to a Sergent.

A DREAM DEFERRED

A DREAM DEFERRED

what happens to a dream deferred
does it dry up like a raisin in the sun?
or fester like sore?
and the run?
does it stink like rotten meat?
or crust and sugar sugar over like a heavy load?
or does it it expand?

A dream deferred
by:angelica claro

what happens to a mothers memory?
does it dry up like dry skin?
or like dirt?
and the dark.
does it stink like bad breath?
or rotten frosting on a b-day cake?
that you never get to try?
maybe it just sticks in your mind .
like nothing happen when it actually did.
or does it float on your mind like million pieces.

What I am trying to say in this poem is what happens to a mothers dream of finding her daughter.Does it hide on her mind that she did not see her daughter in her b-day,because she was kidnap.A mother cannot forget what happen to her daughter. It just sticks in her mind no knowing what to do.

I have a dream that my little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judge by there color of their skin but by the content of their character.(I have a dream speech..pg373..)

This speech and quote is very important to the people back then because they where slaves one day. Also because they were treated bad.For example, there was racism. The white man where being races to the black man.The black man had to sit at the end of the bus. Also they had to drink water from different water fountains. The black man did not like that.So they wanted to stop that. They wanted freedom from all the racism and this speech help them. That's why it is very important to them.

It is also important to me because i feel bad of the things that happen with the black man.I mean I would of been mad to and do what I ever I could do to get respected. Not judge by my color but by the content of my judgment.Like i said before we are all human bins.We should all be treated like them.
